Measuring Guide

When it comes to buying a curtain pole, it is imperative to ensure that you have done your homework first. What would be worse than getting your brand new curtain pole home only to find that it was too big or worse still, too small?

Rather than letting this happen to you, The Curtain Pole Shop have put together this handy guide that walks you through the steps involved in measuring the optimum curtain pole length.

Firstly, measure the outside recess of the window in question.

Once this is done, simply add a minimum of 15cm to your overall figure and you have the perfect curtain pole length.

It is important to remember however that the length of the pole does not include any finial that may be added to the ends of your chosen curtain pole. When checking our product descriptions the stated length is for the curtain pole only and does not include the finial length.
